About Us

Miller Schwandt is a boutique editorial practice registered in Estonia and led by Miranda Miller. We write and edit reports, thought leadership and technical content for organizations that need specialist work explained accurately to the people who have to act on it.

The practice takes on a small number of engagements at a time. That’s deliberate: every engagement is scoped, directed and signed off by a senior technical editor.

Miranda Miller, Founder

Miranda has worked on contract for more than 20 years, writing, editing and directing content for corporations, agencies and governments, and for organizations ranging from startups to enterprises with tens of thousands of employees. Much of that work is unsigned: she has ghostwritten for executives for more than a decade, and her clients publish the results under their own names.

Her longest client relationship began in 2011 and has continued through two acquisitions. That kind of continuity is the practice’s specialty. When teams reorganize and people move on, someone has to remember how the methodology works, what has already been published and why the house voice sounds the way it does.

Alongside the contract work, she spent more than five years in journalism, covering both business and local news, including municipal politics. That’s where the standards come from. She is managing editor and co-founder of the Owen Sound Current, a daily news publication in Ontario, so those standards are still in daily practice.

She is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists and the International Society of Managing and Technical Editors.

Every engagement has a written scope, named deliverables and scheduled review rounds. Decisions are recorded in writing, so nothing waits on finding a meeting time across time zones.
